Community Reach Center has partnered with HealthTrans, a Colorado based company that has developed one of the three largest discount drug programs in the U.S., to bring you a way to lower your cost of prescriptions. Just present this card with a valid prescription at a participating pharmacy and your discounts will be applied. The card is valid at most pharmacies, with over 60,000 participating locations nationwide.

This program:

  • Is free to you - there is no cost to sign up
  • Has no restrictions
  • Has no limits
  • Can be shared with your family and friends

When to Use This Card

This card is particularly useful when:

  • Your insurance co-pay is more than the cost of buying the medication directly from the pharmacy with this discount card.
  • Your insurance does not cover prescription medicines and you will be paying for your own medications.
  • You do not wish to go through your insurance for this prescription.
  • You do not have health insurance and will be paying for your own prescriptions.

If you have insurance, the pharmacy will check whether paying directly with this discount card or going through your insurance is the least expensive.

What pharmacies participate:

The card is valid at most pharmacies, with over 60,000 participating locations nationwide, including Walgreens, King Soopers, Walmart and others. To see the pharmacies in your area, go to the HealthTrans website (http://crc.lc.healthtrans.com). You can input a specific pharmacy, or enter a city and state and see all the pharmacies in that location that participate. Easy!

What Medications are Covered and What is the Estimated Price

You can look up your prescription name online at HealthTrans website. Just input the name of the drug on your prescription, enter the amount per day & number of days your prescription covers and your zip code. The HealthTrans system will give you the price as well as the price of generic alternatives that you may wish to pursue. This is the price you will pay if you are paying directly to the pharmacy for your medication and using this card.  Please note that it takes a few seconds for the search to complete due to the large number of medications available through this program. 

How Does This Program Help Community Reach Center

In exchange for helping to distribute this discount card, HealthTrans will give a few pennies per prescription to Community Reach Center for its support of services for the uninsured and chronically ill population. Our Center benefits both from this contribution and from knowing that it has provided an additional service to  its clients, its employees and its community in this time of high medical costs.
