Thank You

Community Reach Center thanks the following individuals and organizations for their generous donations.  Thanks to you - 15 clients experienced the thrill of mountain camping last summer.  Thanks to you, nine new School-Based therapy sites were equipped with new play therapy materials and many young clients discovered the therapeutic benefit of knitting.  Thanks to you, 14 families were adopted for holiday sponsorships; more than 200 adult clients received gifts, stocking stuffers and a holiday meal; and, over 180 children received gifts, snacks and a visit from Santa! Additionally, 15 families enjoyed a free live Christmas tree, thanks to the City of Thornton.

Community Reach is frequently in need of the following items for our clients who are struggling financially:

  • Beds - any size. (We can arrange for pick up from the donor and delivery to the client in need!)
  • Non-perishable food.
  • Books - especially self-help books and children's books.
  • Magazine subscriptions for our residential treatment houses.
  • New arts and crafts supplies, such as crayons, paints, drawing paper, glue, paste, glitter, decorative stickers, feathers, beads, string and yarn.
  • Wall or pocket calendars. to help our clients keep track of appointments and medication schedules.
  • Gift cards from grocery or discount stores.

You will receive a donation acknowledgement letter for your income tax files and also be acknowledged in the Within Reach quarterly newsletter.

Volunteer!

Volunteers do not necessarily have the time, they just have the heart. ~Elizabeth Andrew

 A variety of volunteer opportunities are available at Community Reach Center:

  • Assist with mailings - the quarterly newsetter, annual report, promotional materials and event invitations. 
  • Help with events - El Dia de los Ninos Carnival, Legislative Breakfast, Mary Ciancio Memorial Distinguished Service Award Dinner, Reach for the Green Golf Tournament and holiday parties.
  • Pick up donated items and deliver them to clients served by Community Reach Center.
  • Coordinate fundraising activities with your family, clubs, churches, friends or co-workers to benefit Community Reach Center.
