Nearly 20% of all inmates in Colorado have a serious mental illness. Mentally ill inmates have an average jail stay of 121 days compared to 25 days for inmates with no mental illness. Compound that with their high rate of recidivism, and the cost is more than $34M annually to each county budget.
Community Reach Center offers jail-based and outpatient programs designed to effectively treat individuals with behavioral health challenges who are involved with the criminal justice system. Our Criminal Justice Services provide them with the resources necessary to develop stable, productive lifestyles, and break the pattern of cycling through the justice system.
Clients may be referred by an agent of the justice system or outreach on their own behalf in order to access the Criminal Justice Services at Community Reach Center.
