Rick-Final8_2016_200Rick has been with Community Reach Center since 2000 and has served as the Chief Executive Officer since 2001. As CEO, Rick utilizes his experience in community relations, legislative affairs, contract negotiations, clinical casework and problem solving to meet the mission, vision and goals of Community Reach Center.

His career in mental health spans 27 years and hundreds of miles from Dallas, Texas, to Thornton, Colorado. As a therapist, Rick specialized in working with high-risk children and families. In 1991, he launched Doucet and Associates, providing consultations for psychiatrists, as well as other clinical staff, and acted as a liaison between school systems and social agencies for clients.

Rick serves as the liaison for various state and community agencies and is a contributing member of several Colorado committees addressing mental health and substance abuse issues, program development and outcome measures. His work is continuously strengthening the health of Coloradans, both at the state and county level.

Currently, Rick serves as the Chair of the Contracting Committee for the Colorado Behavioral Healthcare Council (CBHC), working with the State of Colorado to provide comprehensive behavioral health and psychiatric services to all Colorado communities. As a recognized leader in evidence-based integrated care systems, Rick is able to help CBHC strengthen the bond between community medical and mental healthcare, encouraging a service delivery model that strengthens the overall health of Colorado communities. Formerly, Rick has served CBHC as the Chair of the Colorado Behavioral Healthcare Systems and Chair of the Finance Committee. Additionally, he was the former Secretary and Treasurer.

Rick received his master’s degree in Psychology from Texas A&M Commerce, as well as his bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Rehabilitation from Stephen F. Austin State University. 

Clay CunninghamClay has been with Community Reach Center since 2012 and currently serves as the Chief Operations Officer. 

Prior to working at Community Reach Center, Clay served as the Adult Recovery Services Program Director for Peak Wellness Center in Laramie, Wyoming, supervising a team of clinicians, case managers, and peer support specialists that served the population of consumers with severe and persistent mental illness.

Clay received his master’s degree in Counseling Education with an emphasis in Community Counseling, as well as his bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Wyoming.

Linda Hamaker joined Community Reach Center in March 2017 and serves as Chief Administrative Officer. As CAO, she oversees support departments and enhances the strategic goals of the organization.

She transitioned from her business consulting company VitalVantage360 in Houston, Texas, focusing on small business strategic growth, to join Community Reach. She was an executive officer at Rice University in Houston from 2005 to 2014, where she managed the operations and administration for a department of over 200 faculty, staff and students.

While at Rice University, she placed a high priority on employee development, leadership training and systems management –contributions that led to higher performance, lower turnover and increased productivity.

Previously she held managerial positions at pharmaceutical companies often involved in the treatment of inflammation and cardiovascular disease.

Linda is originally from Chicago and holds an undergraduate degree in Chemistry from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois, and a doctorate in Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She earned an MBA with honors at Rice University.


Christi has been with Community Reach Center since 2001 and currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer. As CFO, Christi is responsible for the overall financial operations of Community Reach Center, which includes budgeting, financial planning and revenue cycle management. Additionally, Christi oversees Community Reach Center’s transportation department.

Having been with the Center for more than 14 years, Christi also served as the Center’s Accounting Manager and Controller. As Controller, Christi supervised the accounting process for Community Reach Center, as well as prepared and presented the monthly financial report for the Board of Directors and Management.

Outside of Community Reach Center, Christi is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA), as well as the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA).

Christi received her bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Metropolitan State University of Denver.

Werner HoellerbauerWerner has served as Community Reach Center’s Chief Information Officer since 2010. As CIO, Werner advises Community Reach Center on evaluation, implementation and maintenance of all information systems. He ensures continuous hardware and software operation of all integrated clinical and administrative information systems and communications equipment. Additionally, he negotiates all information system contracts and service agreements.

Prior to Community Reach Center, Werner architected and developed a .NET application to extract, convert and import more than two million scanned documents and patient-related information from a proprietary imaging system, as well as developed custom applications for more than 20 different behavioral healthcare agencies. Additionally, Werner was a Professor of Computer Science at Franklin University in Ohio, teaching Software Engineering and Computer Algorithms, as well as an Assistant Professor at the Institute for Solid State Physics at the University of Vienna.

Werner served as the Development Director for Philips Speech Processing and is credited for leading a team of experts in developing the world’s first commercially available continuous speech recognition system for German and U.S. Radiologist. In 1996, Werner won the Kaplan Medal for significant contributions to the development and marketing of new technologies.

Werner received his doctorate in Physics from the University of Vienna in Austria. 

Ryan-Final CropRyan Conner, D.O. serves as Community Reach Center’s Medical Director. He is responsible for supervising all medical providers with the aim to ensure all Community Reach Center patients receive appropriate evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, medical screenings, and quality psychiatric services. 

Prior to Community Reach Center, Dr. Conner served as an emergency department EMT for Banner Health in Greeley, Colorado, providing critical patient care including severe trauma and psychiatric emergencies. He also provided health services and preventative health guidance to elderly residents at the Scottish Rite Park Senior Living Center and gave medical and behavioral guidance to children and staff at Camp Fire in Iowa. 

Dr. Conner completed his Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship as well as his general psychiatry residency at the University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine.  He received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Des Moines University and his Bachelor of Science from the University of Northern Colorado. 

Adam Bean-200

Adam serves as Community Reach Center’s Chief Corporate Counsel. He is responsible for overseeing, identifying, and interpreting legal issues in all departments. Additionally, Adam advises leadership on legal and regulatory issues, such as litigation risks or contractual relationships. He is responsible for negotiating, writing, reviewing, summarizing, researching and executing a wide variety of agreements including license agreements, real estate leases, confidentiality agreements, and general business contracts.

Prior to Community Reach Center, Adam worked in the healthcare industry for a variety of companies including McKesson Health Solutions, the Department of Health Care Policy and Financing, and Colorado Community Health Alliance, where he managed Medicaid contracts.

Adam graduated from the University Of Denver Sturm College Of Law and received his Bachelor of Science degree from Utah Valley University. 

Brian joined Community Reach Center in April 2018 and serves as Human Resources Director. In his role he oversees all human resources functions with a focus on employee relations and HR compliance.

Prior to joining Community Reach Center Brian worked at DaVita Kidney Care for over 10 years where he held various positions including employee relations manager and international human resources manager. His accomplishments include deployment of a human capital management system to 14 countries, implementing a global safety and security program, and creation of electronic HR policies. 

He is a member of the Society for Human Resources Management, the Rocky Mountain chapter of Human Resources People and Strategy, and serves on the Lafayette Planning Commission.

Brian is originally from San Francisco. He studied political science at CU-Boulder and has been in the human resources field since 2000. He holds certifications in PHR (Professional in Human Resources) and SHRM- CP.

Mark joined Community Reach Center in December 2017 and serves as Director of Facilities and Transportation. In his role he oversees all facility and maintenance functions to 18 facilities as well as providing oversight to Community Reach Centers food service and transportation programs.

Prior to joining Community Reach Center Mark served 21 years active duty in the United States Navy as a Logistical Director. After retiring from the military Mark worked for the University of Colorado in Aurora Colorado as a facility Director for 10 years providing oversight of multiple facilities. 

Mark is a native who was born and raised in the great state of Colorado and currently resides in the south Denver area. He is married and has four wonderful children. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family, golf and coaching youth sports.

Lori Pereira joined the Community Reach Center team in 2009 as a Day Treatment Therapist.  Her most recent promotion was to Director of Quality Assurance in 2017. In her role, she oversees all functions related to HIPAA, quality improvement initiatives, corporate compliance, CARF, utilization management, clinical auditing, and clinical training and supervision.

Prior to coming to Community Reach Center, she worked at Devereux Cleo Wallace in Westminster, Upper Bay Counseling and Support Services in Elkton, Maryland, and Central Center for Family Resources in Spring Lake Park, Minnesota.

Her volunteer work includes serving as a training facilitator in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessingfor the Trauma Recovery Humanitarian Assistance Project (HAP).

Jill AtkinsonJill has been at Community Reach Center since 2010 and currently serves as the Clinical Director for Integrated Outpatient Services. As Clinical Director, she oversees all outpatient offices, the Child Development Center, Mountainland Pediatrics, Vocational Services and Front Desk Operations.

Focusing primarily on consumers with serious and persistent mental illness, she has been committed to providing top-quality care in the non-profit arena for more than 20 years.

Jill received her doctorate with a focus on community mental health and working with underserved populations.

Amelia FanAmelia joined Community Reach Center in 2013 and serves as the Clinical Director of Resiliency and Support Services. As Clinical Director, Amelia oversees Case Management, In-home Resiliency and Support Services, Pre-admission Screening and Resident Review and numerous alternative care facilities.

Prior to employment at Community Reach Center, Amelia was the Clinical Site Director for Wilkes County with Daymark Recovery Services in North Carolina. She has also served as a team lead for one of North Carolina’s Geriatric and Adult Mental Health Teams, providing educational and care-giver support services to more than 70 skilled nursing and assisted living facilities. Under her leadership, the team was among the top three most utilized in North Carolina.

Outside of Community Reach Center, Amelia is a member of the American Society on Aging (ASA) and completed the Spring 2015 ASA Leadership Institute Program in Chicago.

Amelia received her master’s degree in Rehabilitation and Substance Abuse Counseling from East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina, and her bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from Lenoir Rhyne College in Hickory, North Carolina.

Abigail S. Tucker, Psy. DDoctor Abigail Tucker serves as the Clinical Director of Intensive Services. As a Clinical Director, she oversees the Psychological Services Department, the Accountability & Recovery Program, Community Reach Center’s Crisis Continuum, as well as all justice-related services. Additionally, Abigail is highly involved in Crisis Intervention Training (CIT) program for local law enforcement.

Beyond serving Community Reach Center, Dr. Tucker serves on a variety of Adams County behavioral health councils, boards and committees and is an Editorial Board Member for the Journal of Family Violence, as well as the Journal of Child and Adolescent Substance Abuse. She has published numerous journal articles, as well as book chapters, and regularly presents on the role of community mental health in forensics, critical incident stress debriefing models and other police issues.

Dr. Tucker received both her Doctor of Psychology and her Master of Science in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Loyola College.

Candice joined the Community Reach Center team in 2012 starting as the Emergency Services Program Manager, and advanced through increasing roles of responsibility within the Crisis Services Program before assuming the role of Clinical Director of Collaborative Community Services in 2016. Candice directs all operations related to school-based services.

Candice has particular interest in promoting overall health and wellness of young people, and improving access to evidence-based early intervention and prevention services within schools. She holds a Master of Science degree in Counseling from Missouri State University.

Andrea Turk has been with Community Reach Center since 2009 and currently serves asClinical Director Recovery & Transition Services. As Clinical Director, Andrea oversees all five outpatient offices, Vocational Services, Centralized Intake and Weekend Walk in Clinic.

Prior to assuming the role of Clinical Director in 2017, Andrea served as Program Manager for the Justice, Accountability and Recovery outpatient team, which included oversight of Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) training, and was Program Director over Crisis Services.

Andrea is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a diverse clinical background, which includes providing forensic counseling in a mental health outpatient setting and trainings to law enforcement specific to CIT and Vicarious Trauma for First Responders. She also specializes in Substance Use Disorder treatment and holds a credential for Certified Addictions Counselor III.

Andrea received her master’s degree in Community Counseling at the University of Northern Colorado and her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Colorado - Boulder.

Lauren Jassil joined Community Reach Center in 2013 and serves as the Clinical Director of Integrated Outpatient Services, which oversees five outpatient offices, centralized intake and vocational services.

Prior to her role as Clinical Director, Lauren managed the Early Childhood and Autism programs at Community Reach Center, propelling the expansion of services for children and families at the Center.  Before moving to Colorado in 2013, Lauren led a project in Connecticut that focused on prevention efforts for school-age children and their families, with an emphasis on building connections amongst families, schools and the community. 

Lauren received her master’s degree in Social Work with a concentration on Client Centered Management from Fordham University, and her bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Anthropology from Brandeis University. She most recently completed a graduate certificate in Early Childhood Leadership from the University of Colorado, Denver.

Heather Thompson serves as Community Reach Center’s Director of Nursing Services. As Director of Nursing Services, she helps plan, coordinate and supervise the use of health and medical-related services. Additionally, Heather assures Community Reach Center complies with local, state and federal regulations, and nursing practice standards.

Heather has more than 19 years of nursing experience – 14 years of which are in management. Prior to Community Reach Center, she served as the Director of Operations at Mountain Family Health Center for 11 years, where she oversaw operations, triage, and referral departments at five health center locations on the Front Range and Western Slope. Currently, Heather is a member of the American Nurses Association, Colorado Nurses Association, and the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Heather graduated from Youngstown State University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
