Rick has been with Community Reach Center since 2000 and has served as the Chief Executive Officer since 2001. As CEO, Rick utilizes his experience in community relations, legislative affairs, contract negotiations, clinical casework and problem solving to meet the mission, vision and goals of Community Reach Center.
His career in mental health spans 27 years and hundreds of miles from Dallas, Texas, to Thornton, Colorado. As a therapist, Rick specialized in working with high-risk children and families. In 1991, he launched Doucet and Associates, providing consultations for psychiatrists, as well as other clinical staff, and acted as a liaison between school systems and social agencies for clients.
Rick serves as the liaison for various state and community agencies and is a contributing member of several Colorado committees addressing mental health and substance abuse issues, program development and outcome measures. His work is continuously strengthening the health of Coloradans, both at the state and county level.
Currently, Rick serves as the Chair of the Contracting Committee for the Colorado Behavioral Healthcare Council (CBHC), working with the State of Colorado to provide comprehensive behavioral health and psychiatric services to all Colorado communities. As a recognized leader in evidence-based integrated care systems, Rick is able to help CBHC strengthen the bond between community medical and mental healthcare, encouraging a service delivery model that strengthens the overall health of Colorado communities. Formerly, Rick has served CBHC as the Chair of the Colorado Behavioral Healthcare Systems and Chair of the Finance Committee. Additionally, he was the former Secretary and Treasurer.
Rick received his master’s degree in Psychology from Texas A&M Commerce, as well as his bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Rehabilitation from Stephen F. Austin State University.
Clay has been with Community Reach Center since 2012 and currently serves as the Chief Operations Officer.
Prior to working at Community Reach Center, Clay served as the Adult Recovery Services Program Director for Peak Wellness Center in Laramie, Wyoming, supervising a team of clinicians, case managers, and peer support specialists that served the population of consumers with severe and persistent mental illness.
Clay received his master’s degree in Counseling Education with an emphasis in Community Counseling, as well as his bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Wyoming.
Christi has been with Community Reach Center since 2001 and currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer. As CFO, Christi is responsible for the overall financial operations of Community Reach Center, which includes budgeting, financial planning and revenue cycle management. Additionally, Christi oversees Community Reach Center’s transportation department.
Having been with the Center for more than 14 years, Christi also served as the Center’s Accounting Manager and Controller. As Controller, Christi supervised the accounting process for Community Reach Center, as well as prepared and presented the monthly financial report for the Board of Directors and Management.
Outside of Community Reach Center, Christi is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA), as well as the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA).
Christi received her bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Metropolitan State University of Denver.
Werner has served as Community Reach Center’s Chief Information Officer since 2010. As CIO, Werner advises Community Reach Center on evaluation, implementation and maintenance of all information systems. He ensures continuous hardware and software operation of all integrated clinical and administrative information systems and communications equipment. Additionally, he negotiates all information system contracts and service agreements.
Prior to Community Reach Center, Werner architected and developed a .NET application to extract, convert and import more than two million scanned documents and patient-related information from a proprietary imaging system, as well as developed custom applications for more than 20 different behavioral healthcare agencies. Additionally, Werner was a Professor of Computer Science at Franklin University in Ohio, teaching Software Engineering and Computer Algorithms, as well as an Assistant Professor at the Institute for Solid State Physics at the University of Vienna.
Werner served as the Development Director for Philips Speech Processing and is credited for leading a team of experts in developing the world’s first commercially available continuous speech recognition system for German and U.S. Radiologist. In 1996, Werner won the Kaplan Medal for significant contributions to the development and marketing of new technologies.
Werner received his doctorate in Physics from the University of Vienna in Austria.
Ryan Conner, D.O. serves as Community Reach Center’s Medical Director. He is responsible for supervising all medical providers with the aim to ensure all Community Reach Center patients receive appropriate evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, medical screenings, and quality psychiatric services.
Prior to Community Reach Center, Dr. Conner served as an emergency department EMT for Banner Health in Greeley, Colorado, providing critical patient care including severe trauma and psychiatric emergencies. He also provided health services and preventative health guidance to elderly residents at the Scottish Rite Park Senior Living Center and gave medical and behavioral guidance to children and staff at Camp Fire in Iowa.
Dr. Conner completed his Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship as well as his general psychiatry residency at the University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine. He received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Des Moines University and his Bachelor of Science from the University of Northern Colorado.
Dr. Conner currently serves on the executive council of the Colorado Psychiatric Society, the Colorado division of the American Psychiatric Association.
Dr. Tucker serves on a variety of Adams County behavioral health councils, boards and committees and is an Editorial Board Member for the Journal of Child and Adolescent Substance Abuse. She has published numerous journal articles, as well as book chapters, and regularly presents on the role of community mental health in forensics, critical incident stress debriefing models and other police issues.
Dr. Tucker received both her Doctor of Psychology and her Master of Science in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Loyola College.
Adam serves as Community Reach Center’s Chief Corporate Counsel. He is responsible for overseeing, identifying, and interpreting legal issues in all departments. Additionally, Adam advises leadership on legal and regulatory issues, such as litigation risks or contractual relationships. He is responsible for negotiating, writing, reviewing, summarizing, researching and executing a wide variety of agreements including license agreements, real estate leases, confidentiality agreements, and general business contracts.
Prior to Community Reach Center, Adam worked in the healthcare industry for a variety of companies including McKesson Health Solutions, the Department of Health Care Policy and Financing, and Colorado Community Health Alliance, where he managed Medicaid contracts.
Adam graduated from the University Of Denver Sturm College Of Law and received his Bachelor of Science degree from Utah Valley University.
Mark joined Community Reach Center in December 2017 and serves as Director of Facilities and Transportation. In his role he oversees all facility and maintenance functions to 18 facilities as well as providing oversight to Community Reach Centers food service and transportation programs.
Prior to joining Community Reach Center Mark served 21 years active duty in the United States Navy as a Logistical Director. After retiring from the military Mark worked for the University of Colorado in Aurora Colorado as a facility Director for 10 years providing oversight of multiple facilities.
Mark is a native who was born and raised in the great state of Colorado and currently resides in the south Denver area. He is married and has four wonderful children. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family, golf and coaching youth sports.
Dr. Carole Broderick oversees all functions related to HIPAA, quality improvement initiatives, corporate compliance, CARF, utilization management, clinical auditing, and clinical training and supervision at Community Reach Center. She earned a Doctorate in Child-Clinical Psychology from Pennsylvania State University and completed a psychology residency with a child neuropsychology rotation at the University of Washington School of Medicine.
Dr. Broderick has spent over 20 years in the behavioral health care field merging clinical and research practices to inform data-driven-decision-making. She has served as a Principal Investigator on federal level grants, has published numerous studies in academic journals, and has been part of development teams for internationally-recognized evidence-based treatments.
Prior to Community Reach Center, among other things, Dr. Broderick engaged in consulting, was the Director of Quality Assurance at Mental Health Partners in Boulder, Director of Prevention Evaluation and Consultation Services at the Omni Institute in Denver, and an Adjunct Professor with the University of Washington.
Dr. Atkinson arrived at Community Reach Center in 2010 and currently serves as the Director of Population Health and Integrated Care. She leads the agency in the provision of integrated care and population health in accordance with program objectives, clinical guidelines, and company goals, in addition to providing oversight of the agency’s Population Health Strategic Goals. Dr. Atkinson interfaces with local and state policy makers, community leaders, and providers to assess community health issues and develop and implement programming as needed.
Jill received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from California State University, and her doctorate from California School of Professional Psychology in Los Angeles with an emphasis on community mental health and working with underserved populations. Focusing primarily on individuals with serious and persistent mental illness, she has been committed to providing top-quality care in the non-profit arena for more than 20 years.
Candice joined the Community Reach Center team in 2012 starting as the Emergency Services Program Manager, and advanced through increasing roles of responsibility within the Crisis Services Program before assuming the role of Clinical Director of Children & Family Services in 2016. Candice directs all operations related to school-based services.
Candice has particular interest in promoting overall health and wellness of young people, and improving access to evidence-based early intervention and prevention services within schools. She holds a Master of Science degree in Counseling from Missouri State University.
Andrea Turk has been with Community Reach Center since 2009 and currently serves as Clinical Director of Intensive Services. As Clinical Director, Andrea oversees sub-acute treatment services, assertive community treatment, Medication Assisted Treatment team, Detox services, Intensive residential Treatment, the Hospital Alternative Program and Respite services.
Andrea is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a diverse clinical background, which includes providing forensic counseling in a mental health outpatient setting and trainings to law enforcement specific to CIT and Vicarious Trauma for First Responders. She also specializes in Substance Use Disorder treatment and holds a credential for Certified Addictions Counselor III.
Andrea received her master’s degree in Community Counseling at the University of Northern Colorado and her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Colorado - Boulder.
Dr. Puma serves as Clinical Director of Collaborative Community Services at Community Reach Center. She oversees the APA-Accredited Psychological Internship and Student Training Program, Psychological Assessment, Case Management, and Intake Services.
She earned her Master’s and her Doctorate of Philosophy degrees in Counseling Psychology from The University of Akron, Akron, Ohio; and completed internships at University of Notre Dame Counseling Center, Notre Dame, Indiana and Oaklawn Community Mental Health Center, Goshen, Indiana. In 2007, Dr. Puma was named Outstanding Clinical Faculty by the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.
