The Consumer Advisory Panel (CAP) is comprised of clients served by Community Reach Center. Monthly meetings are facilitated by Community Reach staff. CAP provides the agency’s leadership team with valuable input regarding Community Reach procedures, strategic planning, program development, trauma-informed practices and feedback-informed treatment strategies from the clients’ unique perspective.

In early 2019, CAP was challenged to develop a project over the next year that would serve to enhance the treatment experience at Community Reach. The CAP members have one significant thing in common: each has faced a major mental health crisis in their lifetime – including suicidal ideation, for some. They understand how intrusive and how disruptive to their recovery process suicidal thoughts can be. CAP planned the Semi-colon Bucket List Project from inception to production with the goal of spreading a message of hope and perseverance through artistic expressions from our clients that would be prominently displayed throughout Community Reach Center’s outpatient locations.
